![]() But I certainly didn’t expect Overlord of all anime to break that streak.īack when season 1 had just released, I binged the entire thing, like I always do. Looking at the number of series I’ve reviewed since the blog’s inception, it’s extremely rare to see a bad review. Some might be completely average, but if I enjoy it, it’s time well spent. Looking forward to the next episode where we gradually step away from the lizard arc.I don’t know if it’s a testament to my luck, but most anime I watch can be considered pretty good. Their mating calls and the whole romance of those two is seriously hilarious. I thought that the opening of season one was a bit more fitting but this one is not that bad after all, not bad at all! IMPREGNATE ME The opening is starting to grow on me a little bit. It is also kind of sweet to always see the guardians looking up to him and having a ‘ Sasuga Ainz-sama ’ delirium every time. It’s nice to see that Momonga is treating the guardians like his friends’ kids and sometimes acts like a father figure to them. The throne scene and the ‘showcase how OP I am’ scene were seriously so god damn good. This episode had so much good material that made all my previous complaints go away in an instant. And I noticed this in the bed scene where he was being all cute, and I was like ‘ Awww ’. Also, about Momonga, I just noticed that in his character design, in his belly his bones create a heart. And if I judge by the opening, it’s probably Demiurge. His worries about their loyalty though made me think that probably in this season one more of the guardians is going to be led astray. I like how he is trying to experiment to see if the NPCs can grow on their own and develop more their personalities. ![]() We finally make sense of the lizard arc and we get to see a bit of Momonga’s plan and strategy. He is also characterized as a Sacrificial Fetus, which makes sense of his power and makes the whole thing a bit too dark… Comments Despite not being able to make sense of what Victim says verbally, the other NPCs can still understand what he tries to express through some kind of integrated translating magic. Victim, the guardian of the 8 th floor: It is not mentioned in the anime, but apparently in the novels, Victim is said to speak in the language of the angels: Enochian. Nazarick’s quote: ‘ Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.’ Themes & Trivia In the last second of the episode, she asks him to basically well… get down on her. The farewell scene: Cruch thinks that Sasha will die and they are being all lovey-dovey and emotional. He has wits, and in this episode, we saw that he has awesome powers. That was an awesome scene.ĭemiurge’s power: I think that from all the guardians, he is my favorite. He even sent ten monsters to deliver a message that he could have just yelled at them. The ‘I am so awesome scene’: Hahaha, he is so cocky! He even made a ladder out of soldiers so he can go up the stone that he put there in order to sit down to his throne and look down on the lizardmen. Uhm, Albedo must have been spending a lot of time in that room. Momonga and his bed: He might be an overpowered vicious Overlord but that doesn’t mean that he can’t be all cute and cozy in his ‘flower-perfumed’ bed. Episode HighlightsĪre you guys at it? When Sasha and Crush were sleeping together and all of a sudden the Dragon Tusk clan dude comes in to see if they are ‘going at it’ made me giggle. If they manage to win they are free, if not, they have to pledge loyalty to him. Later on, they all go together to showcase how bloody awesome Ainz and his power is and challenge the lizardmen to a duel with Cocytus. After discussing strategies, Ainz decides to spare the lizardmen in order for Demiurge to conduct some kind of experiment on them. Ainz makes an example out of Cocytus’s defeat and tries to see his point of view on the whole situation. A new guardian is introduced by the name of Victim. Back in Nazarick, Ainz and the guardians are gathered in the throne room for a meeting. The lizardmen are victorious and are celebrating. Japanese Original Episode Title: 死の軍勢 Plot And that Ainz-sama is so OP and cool that I was amazed by his cockiness during the ‘I challenge you’ scene. This is what I was waiting for! I am glad that this episode justified all the previous filler material that we were shown.
